Aloha Sunday - Perpetually Blooming - Forgiveness Release Notes

Notes from the Aloha Sunday talk on July 16, 2017 by Malayna Dawn

HO’O’PONOPONO

If you’re not familiar with it, it’s a reconciliation practice. The word translates to “correction” and traditionally it would be guided by a healer, a shaman, because negative emotions can be at the root of physical illness, but it can also effect the health of an entire family or community.

In modern usage, it has been distilled down to four steps:  I’m sorry * Forgive me * Thank You * I Love You

Unity Live! A Little Background

Unity Live! is a talk-show format that Rev. Molly came up with to create a more interactive Sunday lesson.  Dr. Ed Rockey enjoys being in character and sharing his love of accents from around the world, too.

In this May 28th episode, journalist Edvard Rockenstein (of Heidelburg University) comes to interview Rev. Molly about Unity, because he says, they don't have any in Germany.  Now we know he's just trying to flirt with our minister!

The Optimist Creed by Christian D. Larson

The Optimist’s Creed by Christian D. Larson

Promise Yourself…

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
