BI821 - Bible Overview: Christian Scriptures

Rev. Molly Rockey with Marti Dane and Dominic Coppola

Thursdays at 2:00 and 7:00

from March 5, 2015 - April 9, 2015

Overview of the Christian Scriptures explores the Gospels, Letters, History (Book of Acts), and Apocryphal literature (Book of Revelation) that comprise what is more commonly known as the “New Testament” of the Judeo-Christian Bible.

Overview of the Christian Scriptures is not a course in metaphysical Bible interpretation. A primary purpose of the course is to develop an understanding of the Christian Scriptures’ meaning for the people to whom they were written.

Overview of the Christian Scriptures is based on the premise that, whatever else the Christian Scriptures may be, they most definitely are the response of early Christian writers to both the person and the message of Jesus Christ.

Understanding the Christian Scriptures as a Testament about Jesus Christ rather than a Testament of Jesus Christ frees us to appreciate and become inspired by the powerful faith of these first followers of The Way.
