Rev. Sherry Hursey, Minister
Rev. Sherry Hursey, a Licensed Unity Minister, was inspired by her beloved community, Unity of the Oaks, to pursue her ministerial path. She began building her spiritual foundation in Unity from age 14 and is grateful to have received guidance from many Unity icons, including Dr. Sue Sikking and Rev. Eric Butterworth. An accomplished actress, writer, and producer, she has also garnered awards for her contributions to the entertainment industry, making her face and voice recognizable to audiences globally, both in TV and film. Among her many pursuits, Sherry is very passionate about collaborating with her husband, Rick Cowling, to produce uplifting and conscious media through their production company, Turning on the Light Entertainment. Sherry endeavors to combine her creative pursuits and Unity background to “shine a light” on the teachings that have deeply influenced her from a young age. She thinks of Unity of the Oaks as a slice of heaven on earth and feels privileged to serve her treasured community.
We envision individuals spiritually transformed, living a life of inner peace, joy and wholeness as they embrace their divine identity.

The Board of Trustees is the volunteer body that is voted in by the membership to make decisions about the business of church operations.
They meet monthly but are present at Sunday Services to assist and are available to answer your questions.
